Groupon is compound word of group and coupon
Established in 2008 by an American man named Andrew mason
It`s world`s first and the biggest social commerce enterprise
It has more than 50 million subscribers in 35 different countries in only 3 years
Korea in the name of Groupon Korea in 2011(3rd in terms of market share)

*What is social commerce?
It is a force of e-commerce that is done by using SNS. The way it works is that when there are more than certain numbers of people, it offers products at exceptionally low price. Recently, due to popularization and generalization use of smart phone and social network, it is getting attention as a new huge consuming market.
For reference; In Korea the market share of 4 greatest corporations
Coupang 44%, Timon 34.4%, We Make Price 9.6%, Groupon Korea 12%

2.before
1. Focusing on fast delivery service without waiting to gather people
-Since existing shopping malls are not group-purchase way, it has fast delivery system. But, Groupon`s customers can buy products at low price instead of awaiting that the expected customer is full.
